Université Paris-Dauphine launches its Executive Doctorate in Public Affairs (EDPA)

The Université Paris-Dauphine offers, beginning in September 2015, the first Executive Doctorate in Public Affairs (EDPA).

This new university degree is offered to government employees working in public institutions at the national or local level, those working in not-for-profit organisations, as well as senior managers in private companies whose position requires them to work closely with the pubic sector.

At the intersection of practical experience and theoretic analysis, the Executive Doctorate in Public Affairs (EDPA) programme, obtained over three years, is a step toward personal advancement. It offers its participants a supervised research opportunity anchored in professional experience.

The EDPA Dissertation at the heart of this programme must respond to a two-fold requirement: satisfy rigorous academic standards of research, as well as directly correspond with the professional environment of the participant.

The goal of candidates to this programme is wide-spread: to profit from a time of reflection in order to analysis their professional experience, to acquire exposure to research, to help forge innovative solutions to key issues in which they have been confronted in their professional lives, or prepare for a career move.
