Funding Methods
So you've settled on a program, and now you want to find out how to secure funding. The options available to you depend on your status: whether you are employed in the private sector, a contractor or office holder in civil service, self-employed, a business manager, or something else.
What information do you need? What individuals or organizations should you contact? How do you qualify? Here you'll find a few reference points to understand all the funding schemes based on your status. Feel free to contact the training assistant for more information.
You will receive a CPF (personal training account) with 500 euros a year, up to 5,000 euros. You can activate this account directly to fund all or part of the program you would like to pursue. Your employer may also cover the difference. Please note: To qualify, your academic program must be registered with the French National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP).
If you're switching to a new profession, the professional transition CPF can be requested. Contact your training manager for details. Your application will then be processed by the Regional Inter-Professional Joint Committee (CPIR) – "Transitions Pro" association in your region.
If your company has more than 50 employees, your employer may cover your training program as part of the skill development scheme (formerly the training scheme). Contact your training manager.
If your company has less than 50 employees, the skill provider (OPCO) for your professional sector may cover your training program as part of the skill development scheme (formerly the training scheme). Contact your training manager or your OPCO.
You will receive a personal training account (CPF). Please note: To qualify, your academic program must be registered with the French National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP). There are specific budgets and methods that may be used to cover all or part of the cost of your program. Check with your HR officer or training manager about these options.

As an exception, there are special arrangements for employees who would like to complete a transitional project after their fixed-term contract expires, as well as for temporary workers or freelance artists. Contact your Pôle Emploi (Employment Office) advisor for details.
